Wells Environmental was contacted to treat the visible mold in a residence. During the walkthrough, with just a little bit of digging deeper, we located an extensive mold problem in the finished portion of the basement. Heavy black mold was identified behind all of the paneling and the associated furring strips on the block wall. We removed all of the ceiling tile, paneling and wet carpet. Then we HEPA vacuumed the entire area, treated any remaining wood with an antifungal/antimicrobial spray and fogged the entire area with an antimicrobial aerosol for good measure. In the end, we removed nearly 900 pounds of mold impacted materials and were finished with the job in just under six hours.
