Mold Remediation - Bowling Green, OH

We were contacted by a local real estate agent that was looking to list a foreclosure. The power had been off in the home for quite some time and the completely finished basement had flooded. At some point, someone had removed the bottom four feet of drywall in some areas. Mold had taken a strong foothold throughout. The finished family room, office area and bath had visible mold growth from the floor to the ceiling and the ceilings were impacted throughout. Wells Environmental removed 2,700 square feet of drywall, 1,200 square feet of carpet and 250 square feet of drop-in ceiling tile under negative pressure. The entire area was disinfected and any remaining wood walls were encapsulated. Due to the large amount of growth in the basement, several rooms on the first floor were affected with visible mold growth in limited areas and part of the garage ceiling had collapsed. Following moisture readings, the drywall on the first floor was deemed dry and the wallpaper was treated with an antifungal solution, saving the drywall. The garage ceiling had wet drywall on the ceiling but growth had not yet begun due to a small roof leak. We were able to complete this job in three days, one day faster than promised. The water intrusion in the basement was found to be penetrating the poured foundation walls through cracks. The cracks were impossible to see in the finished basement due to the finished walls. If you have wet carpet in your basement and can not figure out why, give me a call! I can locate the source using and infrared camera moisture meter to pinpoint the source, preventing hidden mold growth.
